How to navigate the TideThe Community Tide was created to curate a comprehensive list of local and online resources for the cities of Ventura, Carpinteria, and Santa Barbara in both English and Spanish. The aim is to make all of this helpful information easier to find, especially for those who are not connected to the world of social media. There are so many valuable local and online resources available, but with so much content on the internet nowadays, the problem soon becomes that many of them are hard to find. The vision for the Tide is to organize all of these community resources on one central website that will kindly direct you to the local help you may need for when you will need it. This is not a source to get professional help, but maybe a good website to share with a friend who may need someplace to begin their search. Here's a walkthrough of how to navigate the Tide. AboutThe About tab is where you can find more information about The Community Tide and learn about why this website was created and what the vision for it is. CommunityThe Community tab is where you can find local community resources for each city. The Tide was originally created to organize resources for the cities of Ventura, Carpinteria, and Santa Barbara. The cities of Oxnard and Goleta were recently added and still need to be updated. General ResourcesThe Resource tab is where you can find more information and resources that may be helpful, like on disaster relief and safety. Maybe you won't need these immediately, but these resources will be easy for you to find when that time comes. Mental HealthThe Mental Health tab was created to organize so many helpful articles and resources for you or someone you may know who needs to find help. There's a list of important hotlines and information on sexual assault, substance abuse, and suicide prevention. Please remember that help is out there and you are not alone. News and MediaThe News and Media tab is where you can find a handful of local news and media publications by each city, nearby news sources, and other media recommendations. MenuThere is a little button in the footer that says Menu, and no, there is no food to be found on this website. This page was created to help make the user interface more friendly on mobile devices, especially if you are using the translated version of this website. All of the pages linked in the top menu bar can be found on this page to make browsing more easy in mobile mode. Having that said, if you know of a great local or online resource that you'd like to add to The Community Tide, please contact us! There's a lot of great articles and resources out there and we're doing what we can to make help easier to find.
